New dinosaur fossil: Challenging bird evolution theory
eosinopteryx

In this artical, The author suggests that our theories on bird evolution may be wrong and that birds may have come from this theathered Eosinopteryx. This "bird" was flightless because of the small wings and limited bone structure. Because of the lack of flight, the Eosinopteryx lacked many feathers on its wings and tail. This challenges the theroy birds came from the Archaeopteryx, or "first bird." Dates of findings that support the new theroy date from the Early Cretaceous period to the older Middle-Late Jurassic period.

  1. The way that I understood this article is different because I do not think the article suggests birds necessarily came from the new Eosinopteryx. I think that the article is actually saying that this animal just makes the theory of how birds evolved more complicated than. This bird had some wings but not enough to lift it off of the ground. An article I found about this subject as well is this:

Another NOS theme I found is that science is tentative. Discoveries like fossils can change how we view things.
