New Antibodies Fighting Bacteria

Many types of bacteria have become resistant to antibodies due to evolution and natural selection. In a scientific advancement to help people fend off this 'super bacteria', scientists have created synthetic colloid particles (tiny particles of one material dispersed inside another material) which are packed with a killing agent. They can recognize the shapes of certain bacteria and inactivate them without harming other cells. This was inspired by the way our immune system works, scientists say. They hope this can be a powerful weapon in the fight against antibiotic-resistant bacteria.
