Possible cure for Parkinson's

Researchers have uncovered a vital point to curing Parkinson's disease. Researchers lead to this new development by mutating Parkin. Parkins, is a protein that protects neurons from cell death due to a plethora of useless mitochondria. Parkins is able to protect the cells by getting rid of the useless mitochondria, which if not done will lead to cellular stress. Parkinson's disease can be attained by genetic's and environmental factors. The research conducted will hopefully lead to a cure for Parkinson's.
NOS:
1. Role of Motivation and curiosity, Scientist are motivated to find a cure for Parkinson's.
2. Science is collaborative, researchers at McGill Parkinson program are working together to come up with a cure for the disease.

  1. Wow, let's hope scientists do find a cure to Parkinson's disease!

There are one more NOS theme. Science is subject to debate and tentative because before, there was no cure for Parkinson's, but now, there might be one.

Also, I read that parkin is a protein that if mutated causes the well-known disease, Parkinson's disease. At least 5% of people who have Parkinson's disease got it because of a mutation in the protein parkin. By studying parkin and possibly finding a cure, scientists may save many people!
