Stem Cells Development Charted.

Scientist have identified several epigenetic factors that are in stem cells. This groundbreaking study lays out the map for how H1 stem cells divide. The H1 stem cells are the most widely studied type of stem cell. This will help them identify how stem cells differentiate into other cells.  There is growing that epigenetics play a very large role in stem cell differentiation . They have found out that stem cells tend to have little methylated genes. However genes that control embryonic development tend to have little methylation and lot's of CG base pairs. In mature cells, there is some methylation and they tend to CG poor regions. This is a groundbreaking study because it can help with colon and breast cancer as those cells tend to  hypermethylated. It is also ground breaking as it tells us more about embryonic development.

NOS themes:
1.Science is collaborative.(this is a intercollegiate study)
2.Science is evidence based.(they had to sequence genomes)
3.Role of motivation and curiosity. (they had to motivated to find out the secrets of the stem cell.)

  1. I don't using embryonic stem cells to cure diseases is unethical especially since now we can use induced pluripotent stem cells, iPSCs. These stem stems can be used for the same thing without harming any life
